I had a good time on the telephone with some scam artist today.<\/p>\n

The phone rings and this guy at the other end says he represents more than a hundred stores “in my area” that offer special discounts for senior citizens.
\nJust $150 to join this special club.<\/p>\n

So I say, “Sounds great. By the way, what’s ‘my area'”?<\/p>\n

Oops.
\nApparently that wasn’t\u00a0in\u00a0the script.<\/p>\n

“The area where you live sir. Just $150 to join the…”<\/p>\n

Yeah, but what’s my area?<\/p>\n

“The 808 area code area.”<\/p>\n

But where’s that?<\/p>\n

“This covers your whole city and we have…”<\/p>\n

See ya.<\/p>\n
