Lemme make you feel better.<\/p>\n

One of our dogs is old.
\nReal old.<\/p>\n

The medical community calls this “end stage”.
\nIt’s a nice way to say he’s dying.<\/p>\n

Something we all face.<\/p>\n

His list of infirmities is quite long and our primary job right now is to make him comfortable and monitor his quality of life.<\/p>\n

It’s enough to say he has to be carried because he can’t walk and he gets a lot of medicine by eyedropper and other means.<\/p>\n

This morning he was fed his special homemade moosh – over blended\u00a0gooshy stuff because his tongue doesn’t work right.<\/p>\n

Lots of other things don’t work right either.
\nIncluding deciding an appropriate time when to make #2.<\/p>\n

\"this_is_my_dog_poop_t_shirt-sized\"<\/a>So the food went in one end and other stuff came out the other.<\/p>\n

\nSorry.<\/p>\n

And since the little guy was tucked under one arm while slurping his meal the other stuff started at my t-shirt and left a trail down to my leg.<\/p>\n

A marvelous way to start the day.<\/p>\n

Feeling better?<\/p>\n

Good.
\nI’ll be grumpy for both of us.<\/p>\n
