Rules for life and rules for living are quite different, if you think about it.<\/p>\n

\"dalai<\/a>I ran across this and I think it’s worth sharing.<\/p>\n

From the Dalai Lama I’ve been told.<\/p>\n

I met him once, years ago, when I was a reporter and he was passing through.<\/p>\n

I was – and am still\u00a0– impressed.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0has nothing to do with religion, but everything to do with goodness and common sense.

\nTake into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.<\/p>\n

When you lose, don\u2019t lose the lesson.<\/p>\n

Follow the three Rs:
\nRespect for self
\nRespect for others
\nResponsibility for all your actions.<\/p>\n

Not getting what you want can sometimes be a wonderful stroke of luck.<\/p>\n

Spend some time alone every day.<\/p>\n

Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.<\/p>\n

Live a good, honorable life.
\nThen when you get older and think back, you\u2019ll be able to enjoy it a second time.<\/p>\n

In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation.
\nDon\u2019t bring up the past.<\/p>\n

Share your knowledge.
\nIt\u2019s a way to achieve immortality.<\/p>\n

Be gentle with the earth.<\/p>\n

Once a year, go someplace you\u2019ve never been before.<\/p>\n

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.<\/p>\n

Good stuff.<\/p>\n
